More than planning a wedding. Prepare for a marriage.
Wedding planning often comes with a long list of decisions: the venue, the guest list, the budget, and all the little details that make your day special.
But what about preparing for the life you’ll build together after the wedding?
Premarital preparation gives you the opportunity to slow down, have meaningful conversations, understand each other more deeply, and explore the expectations you’ll bring into marriage.
At Journey by Etsuko J, you’ll work through a structured, eight-session Prepare/Enrich program designed to help you recognize your relationship strengths, explore areas for growth, and build a shared foundation for your future.
Because a strong marriage isn’t just about the day you say “I do.” It’s about the life you create together afterward.
Online premarital preparation. Availability outside Georgia will be confirmed based on your location.

Make space for the conversations that matter.
You may already know you want to spend your lives together. But loving each other and understanding how to navigate life together aren’t always the same thing.
Premarital preparation gives you space to talk about the things that can be easy to overlook while planning a wedding.

Understand each other more deeply
Explore your personalities, relationship strengths, family backgrounds, and the experiences that have shaped how you approach relationships.

Talk about expectations before they become disagreements
Discuss finances, household roles, intimacy, parenting, spiritual beliefs, and other areas that can influence married life.

Learn how you navigate stress and conflict
Understand how each of you responds to stress, how disagreements develop, and how you can approach challenges as a team.

Build a shared vision for your future
Identify your individual and shared goals, clarify what matters most to you, and begin creating an intentional vision for your marriage.
Your eight-session Prepare/Enrich program
This guided program uses the Prepare/Enrich relationship assessment as the foundation for eight sessions of structured conversations and reflection.
Each session focuses on important aspects of your relationship and the life you’re preparing to build together.

What’s included in your program?

Your premarital program includes:
- Eight guided sessions focused on key areas of relationship preparation.
- Prepare/Enrich assessment and review to help you better understand your relationship strengths and growth areas.
- Guided conversations and goal-setting to help you put insights into practice.
- A complimentary six-month post-wedding check-in to reflect on your transition into married life and how things are going.
The program follows a defined eight-session structure, with room to explore the topics most relevant to your relationship. The six-month check-in offers a separate opportunity to reflect after you’ve had time to settle into married life.
Is this program right for you?
This program may be a good fit if you’re engaged or preparing for marriage and want to be intentional about the relationship you’re building.
You don’t need to have relationship problems to benefit. Premarital preparation can help you recognize your strengths, discuss important expectations, and approach married life with greater understanding.
This is a structured relationship education program, not psychotherapy or mental health treatment. If you need additional support beyond the scope of the program, we can discuss appropriate next steps. Couples therapy is available to couples located in Georgia, and separate relationship coaching may be an option depending on your location and needs.
